OUR FAMILY TRADITION
IS A TRADITION OF EXCELLENCE
In 1973, Jesus Michel Velasco was successfully managing his family’s growing candy business in Guadalajara, Mexico. As a visionary thinker with an astute mind for business, Jesus realized that producing his own high-quality flexible packaging for his company’s line of confectionery products could reduce manufacturing costs and increase profits without sacrificing product quality. He also understood that by utilizing the finest printing process available, he could produce superior packaging with higher-resolution imagery that would boost eye appeal among consumers and stand out on store shelves.
With that objective in mind, Jesus founded Graficos Mundial, a provider of high-resolution, Rotogravure-style printing on flexible packaging. Graficos Mundial established a reputation for producing packaging of such high quality that there soon grew a demand for their services among other package-goods companies. Over the years, this standard of excellence along with a steadfast commitment to customer service has grown the company to become a leader in the premier packaging industry.
In 1992, Jesus Michel Morales (Jesus Michel Velasco’s son) started working with his father at Graficos Mundial. His father was grooming him to eventually take command of the company.
Under the leadership of Jesus Michel Morales, the company expanded its product offering in the converting marketplace with the purchase of new, updated equipment. This investment in the most advanced printing equipment available allowed Graficos Mundial to quickly become one of the largest converters in Mexico.
To increase its printing capacity, the company moved in 1995 to its present, state-of-the-art facility in Guadalajara.
In 2000 Graficos Mundial started working towards ISO certifications. As of today, they hold FSSC 22000 and ISO 9001:2015 as well as being SMETA approved.
In 2017, under the stewardship of third-generation family member, Jesus Michel Morales, Graficos Mundial launched a subsidiary division in the United States under the name, GMV Flexibles – a name that was selected specifically for the US Market because it more accurately describes the product we provide.
Because of significant investments in the business, its technologies and its people, Graficos Mundial and its US division, GMV Flexibles, continue to expand their well-earned reputation for excellence all around the world.

The Management Team at GMV Flexibles consists of highly skilled, seasoned professionals with decades of experience in the printing and packaging industries. We take great pride in the caliber of our people, the quality of their backgrounds, and the level of their skills. Many members of our management team hold engineering degrees and most are bilingual, with a proficiency in both English and Spanish. All the way up the line, it’s our people that spur our growth and drive our commitment to striving for excellence in everything we do.
